Week 2: Forum "Pain Points in Timber Construction in Malaysia"

Important as it is for timbre to progress, I believe our nation needs to progress as well in the exposure & knowledge for timbre.

Our lack of knowledge on timbre construction, maintenance & use may truly be the hold back of this progression.

I remember having Kemahiran Hidup classes in middle school where every student was given a small wooden project to complete. We were not properly thought how to even nail the model together. This resulted in some adults at home or at school to help us complete it. I wish there was more to that project. Being young at the time, having the opportunity to build something with your own hands, even if it was a simple pencil box, was so empowering.

This movement to make timbre construction more common will definitely come to fruition one day, but education, training, empowering, exposing these things to the nations young will definitely advance this movement.

I know the Peiwen in middle school would've been all about it. The Peiwen now maybe would require more effort to learn about the construction and maintenance to own a timbre home.  But still, never too late to learn.
