Week 1: Anatomy of Innovation

The most interesting about Kellogg’s that made them different from their competitions was what really caught my attention.

Product Development & Design: Continuous Learning
William Kellogg used a Human-Centered Design approach in solving problems. Although Kellogg’s profession does not initially involve food, he possessed important qualities of empathy, observation skills, perseverance, willingness to iterate and to learn from clients' feedback that led to what Kellogg is today.

Innovative Advertising: Cognitive & Emotional Empathy
Advertising that was up to date and in trend making their products relatable & a staple for every home. Leading the way by being the first to have nutrition labels. Knowing their consumer base well and advertising to their interest. For example by being the first to have inside-the-box prize for children, packaging with colorful striking images and shapes with cartoon mascots.
